With my current build I am going with -GT2871-1 turbos -Eagle H beam rods -CP or Wiesco forged pistons 60mm TB's, 2.5" IC piping ARP head,Main studs methanol injection MS cast iron manifolds Dual PLX wideband 02's Dual EGT's etc etc.. ( you get the idea)As for the heads.. I am porting them out myself. just opening them up a bit. I am considering getting larger valves to get some more air through the motor.. I have been highly considering the Ferrea 1mm oversized valves, Dual coil valve springs, ti-retainer kit. I am worried about the streetability of 1mm oversized valves along with the stiffness of Dual coil valve springs to prematurely wear out my valve seats.. Should I go .5mm oversized due to out motors being a forced induction motor? Or should I just go the 1mm oversized? Would having 1mm oversized valves lessen the structural integrity of the head itself, due to taking more material away to fit the larger valve? Does having 1mm oversized valves on a forced induction motor kill my LOW END? or does it not matter because we are boosted motors? Will the dual coil valve springs NOT be a good idea for me being as it is not a full "race car"? What kind of max rev limit should I be looking at with the lighter internals and retainers etc? My car will be a STREET CAR, I am expecting around 900rwhp (with n20) The turbos will be pushing ~32psi on race gas. I would like to see it break the 1000rwhp mark, but that would be pretty tough. I know with that much power, nothign lasts long. The car will be driven mainly on the street with some weekend drags and some other fun stuff. Mainly on pump fuel, menthanol injection with NO n20 on the street (most of the time) I am being realistic with my goals. Please no stupid posts. I just need some thoughts on this as to what I should do for my heads.. Those that know me, know that I dont just talk this crap out of my ass.. .I make a goal.. .then build the engine/car to meet that goal that I set. I will be doing ALL of the work besides the machining of the block and lapping the valves in, and ASH will be tuning my vehicle. ps. Either way .5mm or 1mm, I will be going with the Inconel Exhaust valve option. Thanks alot for your thoughts! Shawn300zTT
NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
